Avian Bird flu that you catch from flying birds with wings and beaks

The newspaper screams at me from its aluminum and plexiglass cage 
that bird flu is coming from China. A new red menace, for all of you 
who missed out on the duct tape and plastic sheet run of ought-3. 
This reminds me of a movie, where one scientist can see the truth, 
but his theory, while accurate, is outlandish and the status-quo-
minded scientific community turns him into a pariah JUST as the very 
calamity he predicted begins to befall humanity, or that small 
logging town, or those poor orphans, or whatever. Except everyone's a 
scientist, running around shouting how important this is, to no one 
in particular. 

I don't get flu shots, it's my duty as a healthy, non-elderly, non-
first-responder adult male in America not to. I'm not overly worried 
about my immune system holding up, even against this dread "avian 
bird flu", which I gotta say is the greatest name since...the last 
greatest name. But my point is that I am not scared of a germ, unless 
it's a germ from poop, cuz that would probably have poop particles on 
it.
