Bush tells victims "A lot of help coming"

Oh, but not as much help as you need, oh no sir... or ma'am, or small 
child/baby living for days now without food or water on the underpass 
because it's the only dry place for miles and you are so tired/sick/
heartbroken because you don't even have a home anymore.  And every so 
often the National Guard trucks drive by and you think "If you can get 
here, why can't the water/food/medics get here?  Why can't you take me 
out of this place/off this ramp/to somewhere I can feel a little less 
helpless?"  And then you remember how the Guard has gone INTERnational, 
fighting "New Violence" "erupting" in countries far far away... though 
you're hard pressed to remember when Congress decided we were going to 
war... wasn't that how it worked in the good old days/under law?

It's crazy how Americans can be so outraged , but only as deep as the 
first layer of the situation.  Try to trace that horror back any further 
and - goddammit man! - you're a radical!  Or at least a liberal, which 
these days might as well be synonymous, or feel just as impotent.
