the cruise

the ages skewed to mid-40's, divorced. there were so many women, all
ages.  I saw a women in her mid-60's going home with a guy, getting
some.  honestly, i could feel the youth sucked out of me the moment I
walked on the boat.  

long story short, buttonholed by a claims adjuster, who said, "hunh,
software developer. you must be smart."  no. not really. after all, i
got on the goddamn boat, didn't I?
